This De La Salle Araneta University Brand Guide outlines the rules and guidelines for the consistent use and application of the university signature and other design elements that are used to represent the university.
THE UNIVERSITY SIGNATURE
The university signature, which consists of the university logo and the logotype, stands as the best symbolic representation of De La Salle Araneta University. The university logo and logotype must always appear together whenever the university signature is used, styled in the manner specified in the university’s brand guide.
UNIVERSITY LOGO
The De La Salle Araneta University logo, the most important symbol of the university, has the following parts:
1. The five- pointed star is the Signum Fidei star. As a sign of faith, it is the symbol of the La Salle Brothers (Fratres Scholarum Christianarum). The five points bisected into green and white areas represent benevolence, civility, humanitarianism, service-created goals, and scientific pursuit.
2. The two fronds of laurel are the Gloria Et Honor laurel. They signify inspiration for quality education.
3. The stallion in the middle of the logo is the Knight of the Grand Cross and Lieutenant, Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchers of Jerusalem Achievement, that was awarded to the founder, Don Salvador Araneta (in 1953)
4. "FOR GOD AND COUNTRY", in Trajan Pro Bold typeface, states the founding philosophy of the university.
5. The open book on the lower part of the logo signifies the new knowledge, experience, and expertise that the university is committed to create.
6. The '1946', in Trajan pro Bold typeface, represents the founding year of our institution.
7. The banner with the name 'De La Salle Araneta University' in Trajan Pro Bold typeface, serves as a border around the upper portion of the logo.
8. The arc of triangles serves as the representation of Aranetan culture, as seen on the face of our Life Science Building, the main building of the university.
9. A series of curves was adopted for the rim to form an arc of scallop. This serves as an ornament to the university logo.
LOGOTYPE
The university logotype uses Savadeur Serif, a font that was commissioned to project professionalism and quiet authority. The name of the font derives from Salvador, the given name of the university’s founder, Don Salvador Araneta—stylized in French, the language of the university’s patron saint, St. Jean Baptiste de La Salle.
ORIENTATIONS OF THE UNIVERSITY SIGNATURE
The university signature consists of the logo and logotype, which must always appear together.
HORIZONTAL ORIENTATION
The university logo is placed beside the logotype. When Version 1 is used, the logotype is in the Title Case.
VERTICAL ORIENTATION
The logo is centered above the logotype.

The university logo embodies an institution that is one with all Lasallian educational institutions throughout the world: a school that aims to promote the core Lasallian values of faith, service, and communion.
