DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH DENGUE ADVISORY


In order to help spread public awareness and information on the growing dengue epidemic in our country, the university’s Medical Services Unit would like to share the following health advisory from the Department of Health:

Important Things to Know about Dengue

Cause

Bite of an Aedes aegypti mosquito infected with any one of the four dengue viruses

Mode of Transmission

Transmitted by a day biting mosquito called Aedes aegypti (This mosquito lays eggs in clear and stagnant water found in flower vases, cans, rain barrels, old rubber tires, etc. The adult mosquitoes rest in dark places of the house.)

Signs and Symptoms

Sudden onset of high fever which may last from 2 to 7 days.
Joint and muscle pain and pain behind the eyes
Weakness
Skin rashes
Nose bleeding when fever starts to subside
Abdominal pain
Vomiting of coffee-colored matter
Dark-colored stools
Difficulty of breathing

Treatment

Do not give aspirin for fever.
Give sufficient amount of water or rehydrate a dengue suspect.
If fever or symptoms persist for 2 or more days bring the patient to the nearest hospital.

Prevention and Control

Follow the 4-S against Dengue

1. Search and Destroy

Cover water drums and pails.
Replace water in flower vases once a week.
Clean gutters of leaves and debris.
Collect and dispose all unusable tin cans, jars, bottles and other items that can collect and hold water.

2. Self-Protection Measures

Wear long pants and long sleeved shirt.
Use mosquito repellant every day.

3. Seek Early Consultation

Consult the doctors immediately if fever persists after 2 days and rashes appears.

4. Say Yes to Fogging When There is an Impending Outbreak or a Hotspot

TERCENTENARY GRAND RAFFLE


January 15, 2020

In celebration of St. John Baptist de La Salle’s tercentenary, De La Salle Philipines (DLSP) will be holding the Tercentenary Grand Raffle (TGR). The raffle aims to raise funds for the benefit of the La Salle Botanical Gardens (LSBG) in Porac, Pampanga. LSBG is the Philippine Lasallian family’s green response to the irreparable environment that looms over our children’s future.

All DLSP schools will have equal chances of winning in the three (3) raffle draw date. The first two raffle draws will be held per school on 9 October 2019 and 14 January 2020. The last draw, the National Grand Raffle Draw, will be held at the De La Salle University Laguna Campus during the RODOMO: Lasallian City of Food, Arts, and Music on 18 January 2020.

DLSAU STUDY CENTERS 1 & 2 RESERVATIONS FOR TERM 1, SY 2019-2020

The DLSAU Study Centers 1 & 2 (BRF Dorm and New Dorm) are now accepting reservations for Term 1, SY 2019-2020. For application forms, please proceed to the Administrative Services Office and look for Ms. Ruth Centeno. Please be reminded that the reservation fee of P 1 000 is non-refundable.

RESUMPTION OF LBC SHIPMENT SERVICES TO BULACAN AND BATANGAS AREAS


April 4, 2019

Please be advised that LBC will resume shipment services to certain areas in Bulacan and Batangas on April 4 (Thursday). LBC temporarily suspended shipment to the said areas starting March 26 due to operational difficulties. As such, shipments booked via the Green Stallions Express Delivery Service experienced delays during the said period.

DLSAU TUITION FEE PAYMENTS NOW ACCEPTED AT AUB


Starting September 7, 2018

Asia United Bank (AUB) is now accepting tuition fee payments for De La Salle Araneta University. To pay, please take note of the following:

  • Payor should present two copies of the student’s Pre-Enrollment Form (PEF).
    • One copy will be released to the student (for presentation to DLSAU), whereas the other copy will be forwarded to AUB 6th Ave Caloocan Branch for recordkeeping.
    • Payment will not be accepted if no PEF is presented.

  • The following should be indicated on the transaction slip:
    • NAME
    • YEAR AND SECTION
    • ID NUMBER
    • CONTACT NUMBER

  • Payment should not be less than the first outstanding payment. In addition, payor can only pay either the outstanding balance or the total payment.

  • A separate cash deposit of P7 is required for every tuition fee payment. This amount should be deposited to Account Number 047018900082.

HARVEST 2015 YEARBOOK NOW AVAILABLE


Starting August 6, 2018

Please be advised that Harvest 2015 Yearbook is now available for claiming at the Alumni Relations Office, Rm. 201 of the Golden Pavilion. The yearbooks may be claimed from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Individuals who are unable to claim their yearbooks may send a proxy. However, proxies must present an authorization letter and a valid ID before the yearbook is released to them.
