The Life Sciences Building was included in this first phase in order to renovate and replace our old electrical connections, panels and wires so that it will be able to accommodate the increasing electrical load from our different energy needs. Plans and preparations are underway for the renovation of the LSB classrooms for the installation of air-conditioning units. This project is currently underway and will be ready for the May 24 opening of School Year 2017-2018.
For the past 2 school years, a good number of our rooms have been air conditioned and have benefitted a good number of our TED students using rooms in other buildings like the LSB and the Veterinary Medicine School Building. After discussions with the representatives of the University Student Council (Outgoing USC President Ms. Demiee Grace Sy) and Tertiary Education Parents Association (Mrs. Asuncion Ramos), an AIRCON (AC) FEE had been charged to students that are using air-conditioned classrooms. This particular fee will continue to be applied in succeeding years, as all TED classrooms will be air conditioned starting next school year.
